CLINICAL MASSAGE & MANUAL THERAPY SERVICES

Each session is individualized based on client history, current presentation, functional concerns, healthcare provider recommendations (when applicable), and treatment goals.

Clinical massage and manual therapy techniques are selected to support soft-tissue function, mobility, stress management, recovery, and overall musculoskeletal balance.

CUPPING THERAPY is a restorative wellness treatment rooted in ancient Traditional Chinese Medicine, designed to ease tension, promote circulation, and support the body’s natural healing processes. During the session, specialized cups are placed on the skin to create gentle suction, encouraging vasodilation and drawing stagnant blood and impurities away from areas of discomfort.  Clients often seek cupping to relieve myofascial pain, calm the nervous system, enhance oxygen flow, and improve mobility.

Both static and dynamic cupping techniques may be used; stationary cups help stimulate lymphatic activity and clear tissue pathways, while dynamic cupping glides over the skin to mobilize deeper layers, and release adhesions.

GUA SHA is a time-honored technique rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, using a weighted tool to gently glide over the skin and release scar tissue in the fascia and underlying muscles.  As circulation increases, the skin may develop light pink to deep purple markings—called sha—which reflect improved blood flow and the breakdown of scar tissue or adhesions, especially in areas affected by chronic stress or overuse.  By relieving tight connective tissues that restrict nerves and circulation, Gua Sha helps restore healthy range of motion, reduce lymphatic buildup, and promote deeper muscle relaxation. The subtle vibration of the tool also influences deeper structures such as tendons, ligaments, and internal pathways.

THERMO-THERAPY – Basalt stones, heated compresesses and a full-body heating pad are used strategically on the body.  This allows muscles to soften quickly, enabling the therapist to work deeper into areas of tension without excessive pain or pressure. As the heat penetrates the muscles, it promotes increased circulation, helping to deliver oxygen and nutrients to the soft tissues.

PERCUSSIVE THERAPY is a heated or non-heated dynamic tool, that uses rapid, rhythmic pulses to penetrate deep into the muscle tissue, helping to break up adhesions, and enhance circulation.  This technique delivers concentrated pressure to tight or sore areas, easing muscle stiffness while promoting faster recovery and improved mobility.  Ideal for addressing chronic tension or post-exercise soreness.
